About us
The Katoomba Men’s Shed has been set up to be a place for men of all ages and backgrounds to meet to share skills, knowledge, life-experiences and work together on practical projects for the whole community.
The Shed is currently in rennovation stage and it is hoped that it will opened for use at the end of June 2011. This delay in opening has been caused by the DA requirement to build a disabled access path – a major task which has occupied many hours of hard labour plus costs of around $10,000. In the mean time, if you have construction, plumbing, electrical, cabinet making or organisation skills, or you can wield a broom or hammer, please join us on one of our work days.
Note: For OH&S purposes, and because the shed is still a construction site, it is essential that you have or can obtain a site Green Card to enable you to work on-site.
For further information please email us at: katoombamensshed@gmail.com
Phone the shed on 4782-7433 (4783-SHED)
If the phone is unattended please leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as they can.
Alternatively, visit us at the shed on our next work days. Starting 2011, these will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9 am till about 2/3 pm – depending upon the activities at the time
Computer Training
Starting 2011, Broadband for Seniors (a Federal Government sponsored computer training course) will be held each Wednesday starting at 1.00 pm
